Exporting Slideshows

Slideshows created in ProSelect can be exported as fully rendered .mp4 movies in various sizes.  This feature is useful for sharing on platforms like Facebook, YouTube, a blog, or selling directly to your clients.  Exported slideshows will look just like what you see in ProSelect, except if you've set a specific aspect ratio for a slideshow style.  Additionally, you can add stamps and apply transitions at the beginning and end of the movie.

  1. Go to the top menu, File > Export > Slideshow Movie.
    • Click on the disclosure arrow on the top right to view more info.

  2. Choose which slideshow set you’d like to export.
  3. Optionally include a stamp (this could be a copyright, business logo, etc.).
  4. Check the box to "Include Start and End Transitions."  This will add a fade-in at the start and a fade-out at the end.
  5. Check the box to include the favorites stamp.
  6. Specify the destination for the export, especially if exporting multiple sizes or formats.
  7. From the Output Presets box, select the desired movie type.  Multiple types can be selected for the same slideshow.
  8. Click the Export Movie button to start the export.
Exporting Combined Slideshows

If slideshows are linked, the slideshow dropdown will indicate how many parts are included in the combined movie.  No adjustments are required.  The export will include all parts.

Mac Users

ProSelect utilizes macOS’s AVFoundation for faster export times.  For 1080HD exports, macOS 10.8 or newer is required.

Windows Users

ProSelect uses FFMPEG to export the movies.  Removing any Ken Burns effects may speed up export times.
